Odd Buildings, Fort Clark, North Dakota

Fort Clark. I didn't even know it existed until I moved back to ND. But I wanted to know more. Unfortunately, this place is hard to investigate. I can not find a thing out about it! But it has some really interesting buildings.

This little cluster of buildings really fascinated me.

The depot was obviously moved in from Stanton - it says “Stanton” on it. And it has the look of a railroad depot - that was modified with a garage door. Wow would I love to know more! What’s going on here? It must still be used for something - the area is mowed.

The yellow building is a mystery too. Was it also brought in? Was it a school? A house? And what is it now? It’s sealed up tight. Look at that window - covered right up. Two odd doors. And a skylight?

And of course this looks like maybe an old railroad car but it is terribly flimsy so I can’t be sure. And the things around it are such a curiosity. They look like the bottoms of bird baths. Or spindles from a staircase.

Of course, the outhouse. Can’t not have one of those.
