No Touchee!! (spot the Stone Fish) - a photo on Flickriver

            Definitely a member of the Scorpion Fish family, but I'm thinking this is a Stone Fish, trying to look invisible on a rock rubble slope near the Boston Bommie, northwest of Madang, Papua New Guinea. Stone Fish are considered to be the most deadly variety of Scorpion Fish, with venom delivered via their dorsal spines. Bear in mind that without flash, little if any red would be visible at the depth the picture was taken. Moments before, my dive buddy had grabbed the rock just in front to stabilise herself in the current.
