Simply ... Pixy - a photo on Flickriver

Simply ... Pixy

            This is the first photo of an ongoing assignment I've set myself.  Instead of using artificial lighting I plan to use only available light (plus reflector/s) to photograph Pixy. 
 
The reasons for this are: 
(1) I love the challenge and look forward to seeing Pixy photographed this way.  Especially I'm hoping to capture his eyes showing different, subtle expressions - something I haven't been able to do using reflected flash or lamp light.
(2) It's time I gave Pixy a break from bright artificial lighting.

The first day of Spring is glorious - warm with blue sky and bright sunshine.  Even so, the morning sun doesn't yet shine directly through my favourite Pixy photography window.  Despite this, I was able to get this shot of Pixy using only the light that did come through the window.
