Kodachadari !!! [Explored-28-july-2011]

            
Kodachadari.. 

We started with a group of 10 people, it was supposed to include trekking only. I had planned the whole trip with trekking in mind only. All the necessary preparation was made, food, water, dressing and etc was done, but you know the Murphy's law ..right :). 
As soon as we started the trek from kodachadari bus stop, we could hardly cover the 20 meters and there were lakhs of leeches. Most of the people started to panic, there was hardly any leeches on my shoes and i was busy removing other people's leeches. Suddenly everybody decided that we can't trek this and we should go back and try to reach top by kodachdari by jeep. 
I was slightly disappointed by the decision but couldn't help as i had to go with the majority. But in my mind i was ready to trek if one more person say yes to climb. Fortunately i looked back and Abhijeet asked me silently that let all the people go ,you and me can trek up. I was more than happy to say Yes to him. As soon as we reached back to the main road and then  bus arrived, everybody started to get in, me and Abhijeet gave out bags to people in bus and told them we are going to trek. Same time Mukesh also said Yes for trek. Bus driver was in real hurry so and he started to move the bus, that made the whole situation even worse. Everyone except three of us, went into the bus and now we were left without any food :( . All we had was 2 liter of water bottle, that's it. We started our trek and bus moved on. Kodachadari is not a difficult trek at a good day. But it wasn't a good day. It was raining constantly, there were tones of leeches, last 5 km we actually went against a strong stream. But it was beautiful, it was tough. Last 1 km was really difficult, we didn't have any food, we were hungry, we didn't know whether we are right track or not, we were totally wet, Mukesh was looking most tired amongst us probably because of the hunger. I kept on telling him to just push more, just few more minutes and we will be on top. 
when were just 10 feet away from the top, Abhijeet saw a wolf on the top :P .. and he asked me to have a look at it.. and it turned out to be just a healthy dog :). Finally we were here ,on the top. Hungry, tired, i was more worried about rest of the gang, weather they have reached to the top or not. One of the group on the top clarified that they have reached on the top. We were hungry, so we decided to have food at Bhattara Mane. It was only rice and rasm, but it was really tasty. Abhijeet was not habitual of having rice at lunch but he had 3 servings of rice  :-) . Then we started for Guest House and as soon as we reached the outer gate of Guest House I could hear Sangeeta's laughter LOL ;). 
It was a sign of relief for me.
At kodachadari it was constantly raining, we didn't see any sunrise and sunset there. The next 1 day we just ate and played Mafia :).
