Hidden Vlei Shadow Play - a photo on Flickriver

I don't understand why everyone is so obsessed with Namibia's Dead Vlei.

Okay... so there are some nice (dead) acacia trees which you can include in your photos... but each of those trees has now been shot a million times at least... from every conceivable angle... for sure!

Plus... finding unique and interesting compositions in Dead Vlei is also always bedevilled by the hundreds of other photographers desperately attempting the same thing as you!

This little Hidden Vlei is right next to Dead Vlei... completely devoid of trees... and completely surrounded by tall dunes.

Most people never bother with this Vlei... which was exactly what made it so appealing to me.

For an hour I shared this spot with only two other people... can you spot them?
