Qu’on appelle galaxies 

Si j’étais une étoile, c’est dans ton ciel que je voudrais briller 
Et seulement dans ton ciel
À tous ces jours où, au crépuscule, ton ciel indomptable
Écrit ses plus beaux poèmes d’ombres et de lumières

Si j’étais une étoile 
Tu serais mon île
Et notre ciel serait celui de toutes les émotions

If I were a star
I would not want to burn needlessly in the galactic void
If I were a star
I would not want to feel dissolved in these multitudes
What are called galaxies.

If I were a star, it is in your sky that I would love to burn
And only in your sky
In all these days, at dusk, when your indomitable sky
Writes his most beautiful poems of shadows and lights.
If I were a star
You would be my island
And our sky would be that of all emotions
