Aurora at Eagle Harbor Lighthouse, Michigan

I just got back from an autumn colors hunt in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

This place was on my agenda to shoot the fall colors, but little did I know I'd see the colors of fall in the sky.

What a treat that was, as this was only my second time seeing them.

These aren't spectacular as Aurora's go but I'll take it. These you can't see with your naked eye. It only shows as a white glow on the horizon, some may think it's fog.

I met up with another photographer who happened to be here right after the northern lights vanished. I told him, he just missed some beautiful light. We chatted for about an hour and he told me of another morning spot for the next day so we met up again and made a morning out of it. Unfortunately the colors didn't pan out so I'll have to see if I can do some magic to make that one work.

He mentioned he came to this spot the next morning and sure enough he was able to see them as well. What a glorious morning God gave me on this day.
