Fountains Abbey Tower - a photo on Flickriver

            Fountains Abbey was a Cistercian monastery, founded in 1132 and dissolved in 1539. Called Huby's Tower, after the abbot, Marmaduke Huby (1495-1526) who built it, the 160 foot tower is a sign of the wealth and power of the abbey.
