Afternoon schools

            The highlight from a busy week working saw me driving this stunning AEC Reliance 6U3ZR Plaxton Supreme IV on a school run in Alton on Tuesday 18th April, 2023 - not the first of April, I assure you. EBM 459T was the last of a batch of sixteen supplied new to Derek Randall, London, in  1979 before that operator turned their allegiance to DAF for their 1980 batch of similarly bodied coaches. EBM is probably better now than when it left the factory following a full refurb in the noughties. As can be seen, it was until recently operated by Primrose in Northumberland but it has recently moved to Cresta Coaches - with a baby Javelin Duple 320 passing t'opposite way. It is a "toy" rather than a mainstream vehicle but was given a class 6 MoT on arrival and was pressed into use this week due to a temporary shortage of high capacity vehicles.
