            THOR OU LE CHRIST, musée de Reykjavik, statue en bronze qui a été datée, d'après le style, des environs de l'an 1000 après JC, pourrait être thor, un des principaux dieux, il tiendrait une hache, symbole de thor, qui l'utilisait pour combattre les géants, ou bien être le symbole du Christ sur un trone de gloire, tenant ce qui ressemble à une croix,  trouvée en 1815 dans le nord de l'ile, à Eyjafjördur, envoyée à Copenhague, fut restituée plus tard à l'Islande -   
        THOR OR CHRIST, in the museum of Reykjavik, bronze statue, its style would  date it  from around the year 1000 AD, he could be the main norse god holding a hammer, he used to fight against the giants, or could be the symbolism of Christ enthroned in  glory, holding something looking like a cross, was found in 1815 in Eyjafjördur in the north of the island, sent to Copenhaguen, was given back later to Iceland
