3 May 2023 — Twin Arrows, Arizona, USA — Gopher snake

            Scouting dirt roads for monsoon and nightscape locations, eyes must stay peeled for more than washboard, rocks & potholes. These guys like to drape crosswise. Note head carefully pointing downward so I don’t miss the fakeout triangle it’s being clenched into. Gopher snake patterns & colors are excellent.
