Beautiful Brugge - a photo on Flickriver

Beautiful Brugge

            Fresh from my last shot I was able to hot foot it round the corner to another favourite view. It made me laugh; the masses were gone and in their place was a nocturnal species, the night photographer. There were at least 4 other togs all vying for the same view. As you can see I left one of them in this shot on the far left.
 
Brugge is stunning at this time of night and, if there's no wind and the lighting is right, the canals act like huge mirrors. I only wish I had more time to run round the city but alas I had to get back to our hotel and my long suffering partner who I'd briefly abandoned.

7 exposure, tripod mounted  hdr  -3 - +3. Nikon D700 with 16 - 35  f4 vr @ 26mm. ISO 800, exposure 1/6 - 10 sec at f9. Post processing via photomatix,  & photoshop with topaz clarity and de noise plugins.
