Le Sergent Moat fut enterré au cimetière de Lamadelaine. Il fut blessé grièvement par une balle qu’un soldat allemand tira de la rue Philippart à Rodange. Le sergent fut transporté immédiatement à l’hôpital de Pétange par des Rodangeois où il mourut peu après.

Sergeant Moat was buried in Lamadelaine Cemetery. He was seriously wounded by a bullet fired by a German soldier from the Philippart Street in Rodange. The sergeant was taken immediately to the hospital in Petange by Rodange residents where he died shortly afterwards.

Der Unteroffizier Moat wurde auf dem Lamadelainer-Friedhof beigesetzt. Er wurde durch die Kugel eines deutschen Soldaten in der Philippart Strasse in Rodange schwer verwundet. Der Unteroffizier wurde von Bewohnern  aus Rodange sofort ins Krankenhaus nach Petingen gebracht,
 wo er kurz darauf starb.
