            The fabulous Hollywood Vampires last night. Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, Tommy Henriksen, Glen Sobel, Chris Wyse and Buck Johnson. One of my favorite gigs in a while. Good old fashioned, high energy rock and roll. The band was a little rough and ready in places, but that mattered not one iota, as they made up for it 10 times over with energy and passion. They were clearly having fun, and the band sounded more like bunch of 20 year olds than the more mature reality. Johnny Depp didn't want to leave the stage after the encore. He was running around looking for extra picks to throw to us until  his security team basically dragged him off of the stage. The name Hollywood Vampires is derived from an LA drinking club that centered around Alice in the 70's, when his drinking was legendary, and he'd party regularly with the likes of Elton John, John Lennon, Keith Moon, and Harry Nilsson, it is a tribute to the rock and rollers who have sadly left us in a haze of empty bottles and crazy stories.
