Bridge of Aspiration, Floral Street, London

            This elegant and stylish footbridge - the Bridge of Aspiration - links two areas of the Royal Ballet School on opposite sides of Floral Street in Covent Garden, London. It spans a mere 9.4 metres (31 ft) and comprises 23 portals of square aluminum hoops. Each hoop rotates 4 degrees relative to its neighbour, and the whole structure twists a quarter turn from one end to the other. Architects were Wilkinson Eyre, and isn't it wonderful?
