            Homesteads of Doaktown 

I have always loved that Doaktown has kept its roots alive  preserving the old homesteads of yesteryear, houses I have grown up with as long as I can remember are still there to be seen and enjoyed today.  

It truly doesn’t matter if this was from a sense historical preservation or most likely the fact that most were so poor they had to try to build on what came before, perhaps some combination of both but the end result is the same and makes the village a unique place to visit.  

This shot was taken on a damp morning in Aug 2018 while trying capture some of the character of the village and is of one of my favorite houses, it always has such a cheerful disposition no matter the time of year or weather.  

I took this with my D750 and Nikon 16-35mm f/4  Lens at 35mm 1.0s, f/16 ISO 200 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz Denoise
