Floor Sign - a photo on Flickriver

Floor Sign

            As we approach the end of the year I thought I'd upload a few more pics to Flickr.

This was taken in the building being demolished on Main Street near 24th Avenue back in the fall. I went to explore another part of the building and made an interesting discovery in the upper bathroom. The place dated from the 1930's and at some point the bathroom floor was redone. Whoever the owner was must have been a "do it yourselfer" and an old hand painted sign was milled down and used as floor boards! This pic was taken from the fire escape outside so I had to go in and get some more detailed pictures of this unique flooring.
