Bill's Confectionery - a photo on Flickriver

            The old corner store on Carrall Street at the edge of Gastown closed at the end of 2023. Talked to someone in the know and the store (and building) have some serious structural issues. When I last walked through the front door the floor had a very noticeable bounce to it. It's unclear if Bill's will reopen in another location as most of their customers are from the Downtown Eastside. The building known as the Ferguson Block is one of the oldest in the city built in 1887 after the great fire.
