Creative Mastery

For Sliders Sunday this week I have processed one of the images I took during my holiday on the island of Skiathos, Greece in May. This was the marina in Skiathos town.

Although it’s a different capture it’s the same view as one I published previously - see flic.kr/p/2oLzkR1 - but in this case, I have overdosed on Nik Color Efex with solarisation and other playthings. As before it’s a two-capture in-camera multiple exposure using intentional movement. In this case, the movements were vertical and horizontal to emphasise the repetition in the masts.

This image turned out to be one that gave lots of interesting results when cooked in Color Efex, but I spared you the others which tended to be very abstract. I liked the patterns created by the yacht masts, hence the title.

The weather at the time was unseasonably cold and wet so it’s quite fitting the sky was all gloomy.

This is #92 in my 2023 Creative 100x project. I hope to post a couple of batches in the next few days to make the century before the 2023 group turns into a pumpkin.
