Cover Shot - a photo on Flickriver

Cover Shot

            To be honest, I have no idea who the guy in this image, taking photos is. He was getting in the way of more than one of the other skaters but most seemed to be unfazed by his presence. I am not sure what the photos he was taking looked like. He shot a lot of images and if only a couple of them turned out well, they would be pretty spectacular. A wide angle or fisheye lens, zone focussed, would be what he was using I guess. His flash gave me a little benefit as well.

The skate park on the foreshore near St Kilda is a very dynamic place to go for taking pictures. You can get a whole range of photographic genres all in the one place, portrait, action, and even landscape. I pass it most days when I am out walking and always stop, even if only to have a little watch of some of the skating skills on display. Some of the guys and girls that skate there are fantastic skaters.
