Pink Lake Salt Crystals - a photo on Flickriver

            Lake Tyrrell, Victoria’s largest salt lake, covers over 20,000 hectares and is located north-west of Melbourne. It is dry most of the year but may be covered by shallow water at times. The evaporation of this water leaves a thin salt crust on the surface. The pink crystals are visible in this image.

Lake Tyrrell is a renowned viewing location for sunset, sunrise and excellent for photographing night time skies and stars.

Image captured using a Sony NEX-5 with the SLR Magic Noktor 50mm f0.95 Hyperprime lens, 1/250th of a sec @fIHaveNoIdea, ISO200. This lens is a manual focus lens with no electrical connection between the camera body and lens, this means I am not 100% sure of what f-stop I used to capture each image. I don’t mind not knowing, I feel it it adds a bit more to each image.

Processed from a Sony RAW file using Adobe Lightroom 6.12.
