Gator on the Edge - a photo on Flickriver

Gator on the Edge

            Off the beaten path.

This was shot handheld at 10000 ISO with the Nikon D850. 
As with all shots, I second guess my methods. If I'd known in advance what the gator would do I probably could have shot this with a lower shutter speed and lower ISO. On the other hand , it moved around a lot, and very fast at times, and I didn't want to end up with a blurry action shot. 
At the same time, I was getting to know the camera, and I am glad to see what the D850 can do at 10000 ISO.
