Sand River at Washington Oaks State Park Beach

"Sand River at Washington Oaks State Park Beach" by Patti Deters. One of my favorite things to find on any beach are the sand rivers that form when small areas of water collect around rocks or other natural geology then make a river in the sand as the water drains back into the sea. This curved path of surf patterns was found at the beach in Washington Oaks Gardens State Park on the Palm Coast of Florida, south of Jacksonville near St. Augustine. This coastal photograph is presented in a vertical orientation.
