Mysterious underground Perugia - a photo on Flickriver

            A well in the Rocca Paolina in underground Perugia. There are streets and shops and other things worth exploring down here.

When you hear about the history of this part of Perugia and the reactions of its citizens to the building of the fort, it is easy to see why this underground area  might represent Perugia's unconscious, in psychological terms.
