Locomotora 1110 | Quinta Normal - a photo on Flickriver

            La 1110 es la única sobreviviente de las 10 locomotoras del tipo 110 encargadas por los Ferrocarriles del Estado a ALCo en 1940. 

Estas fueron las locomotoras a vapor más pesadas que tuvo Ferrocarriles del Estado, así como las de mayor peso por eje. Estas características las limitaron al servicio de trenes de carga entre Santiago y Talca, donde no alcanzaron a operar 30 años, ya que la inauguración de la electrificación hasta Talca en 1965 las apartó del servicio.

Locomotive 1110 is the only survivor of the 10 type 110 locomotives ordered by the Chilean State Railways to ALCo in 1940.

These were the heaviest steam locomotives that the chilean State Railways had, as well as the heaviest in terms of axle weight. These characteristics limited them to the freight train service between Santiago and Talca, where they did not operate for 30 years, since the inauguration of electrification to Talca in 1965 separated them from service.
