CONTRASTS IN ARCHITECTURE, TEL AVIV, ISRAEL

            With the intense golden light of a beautiful afternoon on the beaches of Tel Aviv, I observed this contrast between buildings. A mosque that bears an almost medieval "signature", contrasting with the new buildings, mostly tourist hotels in the coastal area of Tel Aviv.

The Hassan Bek Mosque was built in 1916, north of the city of Jaffa during the Ottoman Empire in Palestine. It is named after the then Ottoman governor, Hassan Beck.
