My Chariot Awaits

            While serving aboard USS KITTY HAWK (CV-63), I had an opportunity to catch a flight to Wake Island in order to assist one of my Sailors get home for humanitarian reasons.  While I was there, I couldn't resist capturing a few photos, knowing this would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  This was my means of transport to and from the island from the ship.  Wake Island is about as far away from any other civilization as a person can get.
