Grey heron - a photo on Flickriver

Grey heron

            Mostly I photograph birds using a 500mm lens, but for this shot in London's Regents Park the heron was so close that I had to use my little Panasonic GX7 'micro four-thirds' camera, fitted with a 20mm lens! Amazingly, the heron flew in and landed just two or three metres from where I was standing, and allowed me to walk round to the front get a better viewpoint. GX7_1070046.RW2.
