A house by the sea

Sometimes you take a photo and you are excited because you think you captured something interesting. Then the moment you look at it in the big screen, you feel a bit disappointed as you realize that if you have done something a little differently, the photo would have been so much cooler and more interesting. That's exactly what happened to me last year during my Work-From-Home week in Aigina. I went for a photowalk and stopped at this spot to take some shots of this building with the traffic coming from behind it and Saronic gulf in the background. Stupid me, I didn't have my tripod with me so I couldn't do a longer exposure and thus the cars were captured in a static way. I wanted to use slow shutter speed to blur out the car. This kept bugging me for over a year. Fortunately, Aigina is not one of those places that I will go once in my lifetime. Usually I spend a few days there every time I am in Greece so I had an opportunity to go back and take the photo the way I wanted using my tripod that allowed me the slower shutter speed this time. Plus, from a weather perspective, the dark and moody sky helped by making the light softer than the light on that day a year ago.
