STICKY PURPLE GERANIUM MEADOWS CRANEBILL

            A long time ago, we went to a nursery and asked for some plants to put in our very small yard. After interviewing us, the nurseryman looked uncomfortable with the idea, but sold us a salmon red geranium saying that we won't be able to kill it. That was nearly 45 years ago, and we still have progeny of that one plant, after three moves. We also learnt that geranium is what we have most luck with and we keep getting more and more exotic species. Sticky purple geranium (yes, sticky is part of its name) has thrived in our garden and blooms with delicate flowers most of the year. It also attracts bumble bees, butterflies, moths, and bees.
