cold morning at the lake - Kalter Morgen am See (explore#252)

What actually makes someone get up before 6 a.m. on a Saturday and then drive half an hour and then spend another hour fighting your way through deep snow and thickets (including lots of prickly blackberries) while searching for the right point of view ? And always with the fear of not finding a suitable spot before the sun has risen.
Is it this unbelievable peace and silence that is only interrupted by the startled birds that leave their night quarters prematurely and complaining when they hear you coming (and off yourse the noice you are producing by yourself) ? Or is it the feeling of an explorer when you are the only one leaving human traces here in the snow as you follow the tracks of deer, hare, fox and even wolf? Or is it that moment when the sun rises and makes the reeds glow in front of you and you realize that this moment belongs to you alone?
It's probably all of those things and more. And that's why it's never difficult for me to leave the warm bed early if there's a chance of such a start to the day.

Was bringt eigentlich jemanden dazu an einem Samstag noch vor um 6 Uhr morgens aufzustehen und dann eine halbe Stunde zu fahren um sich dann eine weitere Stunde, auf der Suche nach dem richtigen Blickwinkel, durch tiefen Schnee und Dickicht (einschliesslich einere Menge stacheliger Brombeeren) zu kämpfen ? Und das immer mit der Befürchtung im Nacken keine passende Stelle zu finden, bevor die Sonne aufgegangen ist.
Ist es diese unfassbare Ruhe, die lediglich von den aufgeschreckten Vögeln unterbrochen wird, die vorzeitig und schimpfend ihr Nachtquartier verlassen, wenn sie dich kommen hören (und natürlich der Lärm, den du selber verursachst) ? Oder ist es das Gefühl eines Entdeckers, wenn du der einzige bist, der hier im Schnee menschliche Spuren hinterlässt während du den Fährten von Reh, Hase, Fuchs und sogar Wolf folgst ? Oder ist dieser Moment, wenn die Sonne aufgeht und das Schilf vor dir zum Glühen bringt und du dir bewusst wirst, dass dieser Augenblick nur Dir allein gehört ?
Wahrscheinlich ist es das alles zusammen und noch viel mehr. Und darum fällt es mir nie schwer, früh zeitig das warme Bett zu verlassen, wenn es die Aussicht auf einen solchen Tagesbeginn gibt.
