The white buddha of Wat Phra Khao - Der wei?e Buddha von Wat Phra Khao

After feeling like the tropics all along, the environment now looks like it. I ended up in Khao Yai National Park, which is almost three hours north of Bangkok and there is tropical rainforest in front of my balcony. Temperatures have dropped to a cool 26-28 degrees. So they are very relaxed by Thailand standards.
In the photo you can see a sight that I saw while driving here, which initially delayed my onward journey quite a bit. Namely the 45 meter high Buddha at Wat Phra Khao. The way it rises out of the middle of the forest is an impressive sight that can be seen from afar.

Nachdem es sich schon die ganze Zeit nach Tropen angefühlt hat, sieht die Umgebung jetzt auch so aus.
Ich bin im Khao Yai Nationalpark abgekommen, welcher knapp drei Stunden nördlich von Bangkok liegt und vor meinem Balkon ist tropischer Regenwald.
Die Temperaturen sind auf kühle 26-28 Grad gesunken. Sie sind also für Thailand Verhältnisse sehr entspannt.
Auf dem Foto seht Ihr einen Anblick, den ich während der Fahrt hierher hatte, und der meine Weiterfahrt erst einmal um einiges verzögert hat. Und zwar den 45 Meter hohen Buddha von Wat Phra Khao. Wie er da so Mitten aus dem Wald ragt ist schon ein beeindruckender Anblick, der schaon von weitem zu sehen ist.
