S 174 Berlin 1991 Three of a kind - " 1990 Car of the Year"

            They were still around as "user" vehicles. Sputtering and smoking. Now it is a "collectible". The Trabant was voted Car of the Year in 1999.
 It is possible that all three are owned by the same person - just in case one or two did not work that day - you had alternatives. The body is virtually indestructible - archeologist in the future will find them buried in the ground and try to figure out what it was. Engine was simple, 2 cylinder 2 stroke - similar to the IFA and pre-war DKW. Environmentally not that good - a bluish cloud of smoke followed it.
