I etched this psalm on your hand
With ink drawn from the abalone tree.
My light, my written word
my prose, my branch
This is our bridge 
That fell upon a maiden’s brow
With frame brittle, and its bones blown
with our longing, we can mend it.


Through your breath
And through your gathered flame
 you are my water, my thirst, my leather
you are the everlasting bounds 
that dwells within the wilderness of my wonder
my dear, your secret words and the unfolding of your falsetto
you are my wreath, my frame, my coarse arms
you are the hidden mystery in a summers downpour.


Just a few more moments before the light ceases
Before the earth loses its grasp
Before the ocean uncovers those young loves
Before the likeness of our stars begin to glimmer 
This our bridge, and with our longing 
We can weave its branches back together


Through ghost avenues and punctured symphonies 
I saw you as such,
As Ophelia, of the starry night
As the sail that became 
As the unfurled of the pale sky.
your hair drifting ever slowly 
through a lazy haze
through its infinite wave.
my dear, we can mend it
with strands of your hair
and spools of your words.
For after all, what will becomes of our sky?


My dear, submerge me, beneath your breath 
(beneath your flame)
Such as the stars have once held you
We’re silent now, like ghost idling by
Like the ocean without its fumbling poet
And the wilderness without its wanderer.
this is our bridge, and the storm that befell upon it:  and with our longing we can mend it
