Allen's updated Bridegstone Kabuki - a photo on Flickriver

Basically, everything is pretty standard. I scrapped the bike together with what I had lying around from a late 80's Sanwa road bike. I have slowly added newer parts on since. The rear spacing was 126mm, but it wasn't hard to fit the 130mm rear hub that I put on it. Since that picture, I have actually put on a 9 speed hub with 135 mm spacing by stretching the rear dropouts the "old fashioned way" - by lying the bike on its side with no rear wheel, stepping on one dropout and pulling the other. They spread really easily, so it doesn't take much to accommodate larger hubs. 700c wheels also worked fine with the original dia-comp centerpull brakes. It's nice, because I have room for 32mm tires and some nice aluminum fenders (added since that last pic - shown above).

There are obviously a lack of braze-ons for waterbottles and cable stops, etc on the main triangle, but I bought some nice looking clamps from velo orange for my bottles: velo-orange.com/bocacl.html Revolution cycles was also really helpful in getting everything set up. They have been awesome in putting up with me as I take on my own bike rebuilds, so I'd recommend working with them if you have questions or need parts or expertise.

The kabuki is a unique bike and can make a great commuter or long distance cyclo tourer. I have put more miles on mine than any other bike I have owned, ever. With it's long wheel base, thin stays and curved fork, it's a real cadillac of a ride.
