Waimea Bay Shoreline Long Exposure - a photo on Flickriver

            If you’re looking for photographers on Oahu when “The Eddie” is expected to run… you’ll find them here at Waimea Bay on Oahu’s North Shore! This is a shot of the bay from the “almost-a-go” Quicksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau surf contest from a couple of weeks ago. The same morning light filters through a crack in the valley illuminating a small portion of the shore.

As for tomorrow… it seems that “The Eddie” is on again, at last! *fingers crossed* This time the waves are expected to be 55’-60’ (18 meters). It’s the biggest swell in decades!
