Windward Morning from the Pali - a photo on Flickriver

High atop at the Pali Lookout, we watch as the Windward coast of Oahu is bathed in light from the morning sun...

(inspired by my awesome friend Louie and his recent panoramas.)

I just didn't have the heart to make this fully black and white as he did, instead opting for a 50% opacity "red-filter" b&w adjustment layer while bumping up the saturation with a 50% selective opacity saturation adjustment layer. The purpose of the b&w filter was to greatly add to the contrast as opposed to desaturating the image.

This image was stitched from 6 exposures and represents a 180° sweep.
