Il Civetta sopra al lago - a photo on Flickriver

            Alleghe, in provincia di Belluno, è un Comune con poco più di 1.000 abitanti molto scenografico data la presenza  alle sue spalle dell'enorme bastionata dolomitica del Monte Civetta che con i suoi 3.220 metri di altitudine, si presenta con una parete verticale di oltre 1.000 metri e di 4 km di lunghezza; nonchè del omonimo lago da cui è bagnata, creatosi nel 1771 da una frana proveniente dal Monte Piz che andò a sbarrare il normale deflusso del torrente Cordevole, creando così il Lago di Alleghe che ad oggi è una metà molto apprezzata dai turisti. 

Alleghe, in the province of Belluno, is a municipality with just over 1,000 inhabitants very scenographic given the presence behind it of the enormous dolomite bastion of Mount Civetta which, with its 3,220 meters of altitude, presents a vertical wall over 1,000 meters and 4 km long; as well as the lake of the same name which bathes it, created in 1771 by a landslide coming from Monte Piz which blocked the normal flow of the Cordevole torrent, thus creating Lake Alleghe which today is a destination much appreciated by tourists.
