Since the ancient times, together with Geumgangsan and Hallasan, Jirisan has been known as one of the three legendary mountains in Korea. The circumference of Jirisan is over 320km, and numerous peaks are spread out like a folding screen in the center of Cheonwangbong(1,915m), Banyabong(1,732m), and Nogodan(1,507m) peaks. I took both of these photographs on the 26th of December 2009 on one of many treks around South Korea that Heather and I took with our kids, their SOs and friends, and our grandson. The views from the top of Jirisan were truly breathtaking. It is my pleasure to share these two with all of you, my Flickr friends.
