The Red Arrows, Chicago 2019

            Bit of a stop start afternoon due to the weather, but ultimately the Red Arrows arrived and left their mark. As one American turned to me and said... if it's hearts & minds they're trying to win they've done a fantastic job.

They really were an awesome sight to see over the skies of Chicago & Lake Michigan. Smaller jets than the F18's used by the Blue Angles, but so much more nimble.

I had been waiting since 9am for their display, I don't recall them ever having displayed in Chicago before, or America, but my history here only extends 20+ years or so, so maybe they have at some point. But certainly they drew the most oooo's and aaaa's from the crowd that I was watching with from Belmont Harbour.

They where well worth the wait!
