Rockies rush - a photo on Flickriver

Rockies rush

            I'm continuing my wet series at Rock Creek near Allenspark. This section is an "S" curve even if it is backward. This is my take. It's totally amazing that Rock Creek could meander in this tight, skimpy canyon. To get back to this spot this January day would take a four wheel drive and some snow shoes... but then it's covered in white. The Colorado ski slopes are packed but skis could retrace the old forest road assuming you are good at uphill. Snow everywhere; come to ski and leave. It seems like I got stuck with my unedited water shots and ended up with enough for this series. 

Rock Creek flows east, down and through Ferncliff instead of toward Allenspark but drive south from Allenspark to get here. There are a large number of possibilities up this creek (pronounced crick in the Rockies) and it can lead to the one-legged man in the trouser factory syndrome but it is tougher to keep the campers from the frame. I have posted several from the lot that I snapped at Rock Creek. I usually feel that I left shots behind no matter where I visit. 

After I started to editing my original shots of Rock Creek, I thought of the bounty of camper cars parked up the trickle. I returned with my normal zoom during the week for a captures.
