Well drained daisies - a photo on Flickriver

            I found a stand of really brilliant daisies filling the road drainage that was lined with sandstone. They were pretty shiny thinking that the sun was going to top the big cliffs. Not yet. Well, they are aimed at the brightest sky above the cliffs. It is about time to head up hill. 

eDDie and finally I were shooting wildflowers next to the old road after I was seriously distracted, like usual. I have a one track mind but remember that it takes two tracks to keep the train on the rails. As it works, the back of my neck was feeling like I was developing "phone bone" so I pointed the camera downward and found more of eDDie's wildflowers. Who knew it was so showy down here? A place for daisies and daisies in this place! Though they found a shady spot, this is a pretty good splash for another series changeup but maybe another series goobye. 

I'm making another trek with eDDie into the Rockies and snagging another load of shots on that mellow day extending my stash of unedited snaps on my hard disk. I keep snapping away.  Normally, I like the bold play of sky light and heavy shadows. It looks like the morning sun is moving on as is our time is here too. Maybe a switch over? 

We were up old South St. Vrain road from Lyons below the quarry ruins that blight the canyon that the county allowed to propagate... and will again next time. Never an end to getting shivved by industry and paying behind them. eDDie was busy shooting wild flowers next to the road and I am otherwise entirely distracted as usual, shooting what I discover. These are the cliffs that buttress the old road. The water is at my back, on the north of the road where I am standing.
