Wild Mustangs

            While in North Carolina, I went with my old high school friend Dawn Madison to the Outer Banks. We rode in a Humvee to the small beach town of Corolla to Carova. Carova can only be accessed by 4x4 or boat. The Humvee tour was seeing the wild horses that arrived in the 1500's with the Spaniards when exploring the New World. 
There are now over 100 there and in 1926 there were 5-6,000. They are very protected because they are considered endangered/ near extinct. DNA proved there are pure Colonial Spanish Mustangs. They are one of the rarest and oldest strains in the world.
