The Bahá’í House of Worship for North America

            The Bahá’í Temple in Wilmette, Illinois is staggeringly beautiful and well worth  the hour train ride from Chicago.

This is the only Bahá’í House of Worship in the United States, and the oldest surviving one in the world.  Its groundbreaking was in 1912, and it was completed in 1953
