E' Natale! Te lo dice il calendario;
lo ricorda un po' di neve che t'imbianca lo scenario;
la città si veste a festa, le vetrine più splendenti;
si rincorrono frenetiche quelle luci nella sera.
E' Natale! Te lo dice l'atmosfera,
E dai compra dei vestiti e poi forza coi regali;
E' Natale, che gran festa, che gran cosa, che emozione;
tenuto in vita dell'amore, a me sembra molto bella!
TANTI AUGURI A CHI CI ASCOLTA.

It is Christmas! The calendar tells you;
a little snow that whitens the scenery reminds you of it;
then the colored balls and so is the panettone,
while the television offers you wine and sparkling wine.
It is Christmas! a thousand lights with the brightest colors,
the city dresses up, the shop windows more shining;
those lights chase each other frantically in the evening.
It is Christmas! the atmosphere tells you,
Come on, buy some clothes and then come on with the gifts;
don't forget anyone, otherwise evils will arise.
And remember to buy tickets to send,
then you have to make a list of visits to make.
And prepare the big meal: Tortellini and then turkey,
boiled meat, meatloaf, shall we put some cotechino on it?
Then the fruit, ravioli, Carthusian and coffee:
And then behind it there is also the bitterness, Damn what a "buffè".
It's Christmas, what a great celebration, what a great thing, what an emotion;
there is no more wonderful day, what a beautiful invention!
Invention? Is already! Christmas as it is known,
who was that head that suddenly thought this?
The Merchants Association.
But what is the real Christmas? The one with consumption on the sign?
Or that poor Jesus, in the wood hut?
I don't like the first one, I don't see it very clearly
you put a lot in your mouth, but then it remains bitter at the end.
While this image instead
of the child in the stable
kept alive of love, it seems very beautiful to me!
And it is an image that enters me deeply and that I like,
a sweet sensation that awakens goodness in me.....and peace.
And then I understand where real Christmas is!
It is his that of Jesus, the most sincere Christmas.
And He must come, every year, once,
to refresh our memories since we have a short one.
