Oil Capital Motel Tulsa,OK - a photo on Flickriver

            Oil Capital Motel located at 802 West Skelly Dr. in Tulsa,OK.  The 24 room motel is currently operating under the name Budget Inn.  Note the motel which opened for business in 1956 featured a large (non-functioning) oil derrick which was brightly illuminated at night.  Its also worth noting the motel was given its current "Budget Inn" name in 1994.  On a final note the oil derrick and large swimming pool are long gone from the property.
*Note the City of Tulsa installed a replica of the Oil Capital Motel sign in Summer 2020.  This is one of three replica motel signs located at the "Route 66 Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza" at 1450 SW Blvd. Tulsa,OK
