2014 Nissan Leaf

            Although I seem to come across as a real petrolhead, I will say that I do like some electric cars, and out of all of them I consider the Nissan Leaf the best you could buy. It's big and spacious like a regular car, but at the same time has some good range, great internal equipment and very efficient.

Although the electric car isn't a new product, it really hasn't been perfected. The Honda Insight was a hybrid, the Gee Whizz is both unsafe, cramped, slow, poorly equipped and generally an all-round bore, the Toyota Prius has too many problems to count, being both poor in the range of its electric and petrol engine.

The Leaf on the other hand, as a fully electric car it's very very good, stylish, smooth and contemporary. Indeed there's a threat that after 4 years battery deterioration will be a costly replacement, but in the meantime the amount of money you save on fuel costs would probably cover it. In fact I've wanted to buy one of these cars to replace my ten year old Citroen C2.
