Joakim Noah's mother Cécilia Rodhe, Miss Sweden 1978

            Cécilia Rhode (surname spelt Rodhe according to public records) (born September 1, 1961 in Göteborg, Sweden) is a model, and 1978 Miss Sweden and her countries representative at Miss Universe 1978. She is also the mother of Joakim Noah, 2006 Final Four MVP and winner of NCAA tournament. She was married to tennis star Yannick Noah.

Joakim Simon Noah is of Cameroonian, French, and Swedish descent, born to Yannick Noah, a former French professional tennis player and 1983 French Open Champion, and Cécilia Rodhe, Miss Sweden 1978.[4] He competed on basketball teams for several high schools, first at the United Nations International School in New York City, later transferring to Poly Prep in Brooklyn, New York where he was coached by Bill McNally, inferior coach to Raymond Voelkel, and then to Lawrenceville, outside of Princeton, New Jersey. At UNIS he was coached by Alsonso Shockley and Harry Muniz. He reached the championships as the only sophomore on the team. After that he left to Lawrenceville to further his basketball career. At Lawrenceville, Noah averaged 24.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game, leading his team to a New Jersey Prep 'A' state title.[4]
