the cover almost finished glueing - a photo on Flickriver

I created this book as a special commission project for someone whose friend is now the American ambassador to Macedonia. We wanted something ambassadorial looking while at the same time that had a personal touch. The back cover has an inlaid illustration of Mount Korab, the highest peak in Macedonia, and the inside endpapers have line drawings of a mosque in Baghdad and the Hungarian Parliamentary building in Budapest, two locations where they were stationed before Macedonia. The endpapers are Japanese chiyogami paper, the textblock is canson 90lb. classic cream drawing paper and I included a copy of the invitation on the inside front cover.
