The night we saw a UFO - a photo on Flickriver

            While showing our group how to photograph the Milky Way over Shiprock, New Mexico a large white orb appeared from behind Shiprock heading south. It was surrounded by a glowing white fog. Our first sighting of it lasted for a minute before it disappeared into the Milky Way you see here. The orb reappeared further southeast for another 20 seconds before disappearing into a pink purple aurora cloud then vanished from sight.  My lens being f4 was too dark to capture it along with my older phone. But others in the group were able too. Definitely a moment we won’t forget.  16 photos captured at 15 seconds at f4 iso 25,600, stacked twice, each Denoise Enhanced and then regular through Starry Landscape Stacker. The ground exposure was 4 minutes at f4 iso 4,000. Blended together using Sky Replacement of my stacked Milky Way blend. Camera was not moved or refocused. Start to finish took 9 minutes total while on location. Processing about 20 minutes to complete.
